DeMolay Night at Level Up Restobar - April 29, 2011

1919 DeMOLAY NIGHT 2011
An Awe Inspiring Fellowship Night
By: Bro. Bryant A. Go
It has been said that once a brother calls and an invitation is conveyed, brethren will listen and they will come.

Indeed, on the night of April 29, 2011, brethren from all over the country came and shared their passion of fellowship and camaraderie with fellow DeMolays at our DeMolay Night, hosted by the Feliciano Iñigo DeMolay Alumni Chapter No. 1 (FIDAC No. 1) which is now legally known as the Feliciano Iñigo Alumni Chapter, Incorporated (FIACI), a non-stock/non-profit organization duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in cooperation with the Feliciano Iñigo Chapter (FIC) Order of DeMolay.

Despite the hectic schedule of our brethren and brother masons, who attended their 92nd Annual Communication here in Davao City, many still managed to take time off and come from afar to share a single memorable night with brother DeMolays.

A roll call was made and brethren as far as Cabanatuan City showed hands.  After the roll call, FIDAC President 2011 Bro. Bryant Go welcomed the visiting brethren.

Indubitably, the night was not only made memorable by the presence of DAAP Officers headed by its President Bro. Rudolph Cocjin, PSC Senior Grand Councilor Bro. Gigi Ancajas, the members of the Advisory Council for FIC, brother DeMolays from different chapters and the FIC, which made the event a momentous occasion. However, the brilliance of said night was made unforgettable due to the presence of DeMolay Alumni, namely: Bro. Alfredo ‘Torchie’ Asuncion, Bro. Jhonnie Garzon, Bro. Leo Estores, Poy-poy & Julius Madrazo,Bro. Rey Guttierez, and Bro Alex Macaraeg who started it all. They are just a few of our dedicated brethren who are responsible for establishing our DeMolay Alumni.

These men are the pillars and beacons that continue to harness the spirit of being a DeMolay. They already set a standard for brethren that, once a call has been made and an invitation sent by a brother, DeMolays will hear and come. They are our foundation that will continue to enhance the heart of DeMolays.

It was also pleasant to see some members of the long lost flock of FIC like Bros. Jonathan Modo, Raffy Ubaldo and Stephen Angala, Dave Villagomeza and Ronel Reyes.

Clearly, the success of the DeMolay Night last April 29, 2011, which lasted until 3:30 in the morning, would not have been possible if not for the efforts of the officers and members of the FIDAC No. 1 / FIACI headed by its committee chairperson Bro. Leo C. Ilagan, assisted by Bro. Randy Gamir, as well as the versatile officers and active members of FIDAC No. 1 / FIACI.

Noteworthy to mention, a deep gratitude is hereto expressed to Dad Gerald Co for sponsoring the cocktails, DAAP PP Bro. Alex Lara for the raffle items and Bro. Danny Ayad for the sumptuous lechon, Bro. Peter Wee for his continued assistance, and Bro. Leo Ilagan for the entertainment.

Finally, the triumph of hosting a successful DeMolay Night not only strengthens the ties that bind DeMolays, but it solidifies, once and for all, the brotherhood. It puts a mark in the world that the International Order of DeMolay will live now…..  and forevermore.

We hope that the Mt. Asog Chapter of Camarines Sur, the winner of the ANCOM 2012 sweepstakes, will also host a DeMolay Night for 2012.

P.S. The Feliciano Iñigo DeMolay Alumni Chapter No. 1 (FIDAC No. 1) /Feliciano Iñigo Alumni Chapter, Incorporated (FIACI) would like to extend our congratulations to the Davao Masonic Family for hosting a successful Masonic 92nd Annual Communication! Truly, the Davao Masonic Family is a force to be reckoned with. Our congratulations!!!!!!
