FIDAC Holds Successful Juris Concert to Mark 92nd Anniversary

FIDAC No. 1 started the DeMolay week with a bang as they brought in sister former Honored Queen Julie Iris Fernandez, more famously known as Juris, to SM cinema 1 for a pre-birthday concert for her fellow Davaoeños.

It was also the DeMolays’ pre-Araw ng Davao event that overshadowed the other concerts by other artists who were also here to mark Davao City’s 74th Araw ng Dabaw festivities.

Front acts included the celebrated duo “Mutya & Jonathan”, the enchanting “Gabby Sombilon Solo Act” and local hotshot band “Lizard Chips”.

Juris wowed the crowed with famous songs and some of her own original material and even added two extra songs to please her audience’ chants for yet another encore and were almost swarming up the stage when she sung her finale.

Immediately after the concert, she gamely posed for photos for the concert’s beneficiaries and sponsors including the children from the Kythe Foundation.

FIDAC 2011 President Bryant Go declared the project a resounding success and thanks the sponsors for bringing Juris back home and renewing her ties with her Davao fans.  Major and minor sponsors include Bro. FIDAC No. 1 is geared for more projects that lean on charity and eco-consciousness as we head on towards the middle of the year.
